Marco Ranked 20th of Fastest Growing Companies in Atlantic Canada (April 2011) Marco is proud to be named to Progress Magazine's list of Atlantic Canada's Fastest Growing Companies. This list defines industry sectors that are setting the pace for the new economy, both in Atlantic Canada and nationally. All companies on this list have shown significant increases in revenues over the past three years.

 

 

 

Marco CEO inducted into Top 50 CEO Hall of Fame (May 2010)

Marco Chair and CEO, Christopher Hickman, was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Atlantic Business Magazine's Top 50 CEO Awards.  Hall of Fame inductees are five-time Top 50 CEO Award winners.  These awards recognize individuals who display corporate leadership excellence, advance their respective industries, and improve the quality of life for all Atlantic Canadians.    

 

Marco listed as 24th on the list of Canada's Top 40 Contractors (April, 2010)

In April 2010 Marco was listed as 24th on the list of Canada's Top 40 Contractors.
This list is a research project dedicated to determining the leading construction contractors in Canada ranked by revenue. It is used throughout the industry to research and source leading contractors.

 

 

 

Marco Group ranked 28 in Top 101 Businesses in Atlantic Canada (September 2010)

For the third consecutive year the Marco Group has been included in Progress Magazine's ranking of the Top 101 Companies. Focusing on Atlantic Canada's most outstanding companies, the Top 101 rankings encompass all aspects of operational performance, including company revenue growth and nonfinancial measures. In addition to ranking by revenue, companies were evaluated according to how effectively they manage social and governance responsibility, innovation and continuous learning, customer orientation, and internal management practices, relative to their industry peers.

 

Top 50 CEO Award goes to Marco Chair and CEO for fourth consecutive year. (May 2009)

Marco Chair and CEO, Christopher Hickman, was recognized by Atlantic Business Magazine as a Top 50 CEO in Atlantic Canada for the fourth consecutive year. These awards recognize individuals who display corporate leadership excellence, and who advance their respective industries and improve the quality of life for all Atlantic Canadians. This is the fourth consecutive year that Mr. Hickman has received this award.

 

NSCSA Awards Marco Group for outstanding safety achievement

Marco was awarded the 2006 NSCSA Chairman award of Excellence as one of the Safest Companies in their category. Since 1995, Marco has been operating a Construction Safety Program throughout all of its construction operations. Based on the principals of the "Internal Responsibility System", the program reflects an employee-employer partnership to promote best practices in safety.
